As humans we have a natural desire to explore and learn through the use of our senses. Art unlike any other subject allows students to engage all of their senses in various ways. My vision for my work as an art educator is to inspire my students to be fearlessly creative and open their eyes to new worlds. Art has the ability to teach students about diversity, social issues, contemporary society, history, and visual cultures. The lessons learned through art education are lessons that can be applied and valued both inside a classroom and in real world settings.

Through my educational focus in art history my personal artwork has been guided by the influences of a variety of famous artists. My studio classes have given me instruction on all fine arts mediums and the techniques to follow in order to produce successful artwork. Offering my students a well-rounded art education is something I deeply believe in. The importance of integrating art history in accordance with studio art practices is profoundly important to art education.
